07.25 Forenoon watchmen muster in the Port
P.V. Space.
07.30 At B.W.H. Turn in & cover boats.
07.45 Electrical damage control parties close up.
08.15 A.B.C.D. State 1 Alpha parties muster at your
section bases. Assume A.B.C.D. State Alpha 3. Close all scuttles & dead
lights.
09.00 Seamen and cooks of messes fall in by parts
of ship. Close all weather deck screen doors and hatches except doors &
hatches marked "Shelter" on the port side & doors marked "Shelter" on the
Stbd side.
09.05 Pre-wetting parties muster in your parts of
ship.
09.10 Test pre-wetting.
09.25 Tea water is now available in the galley.
Shut down galley ventilation systems.
09.30 The ship is now in A.B.C.D. State 1 Alpha. One hour to
the burst.
10.00 Hands to
Divisions on the Flight Deck abaft the island.
10.05 Close all screen doors on the
Starboard side. 10.20
Hands on the flight deck disperse to stations for witnessing the burst.
Commence count down procedure. X
10.30(approx) H-Hour. THERMO NUCLEAR BURST.
X H+ 1 min. 40 secs. Stand by for the blast
wave. X H+2 mins. A.B.C.D. Parties
open up doors and hatches marked "Shelter" on the Stbd.side.
Door sentries fall out. X H+10 mins.
Clear the flight deck.
X When piped. Hands below decks clean into No 10A's Opt. shirts.
X H+12 mins. A.B.C.D. State 1 Alpha parties &
watchkeepers return to your stations.
No 1 Cleansing Station crew close up. Health Physics party to your
stations.
Stand Easy. Lime juice is now being issued from the Beef Screen.
X H+15 mins. Pre-wetting parties close up.
X H+30 mins. An announcement will be made on
the result of the burst. X 11.00 Up
Spirits. White watch of A.B.C.D. parties stand down.
X 11.30 Afternoon
watchmen to dinner. Revert to A.B.C.D. State 1 Bravo.
X 11.45 Cooks.
Grog. X
11.50 Secure. X
12.00 Hands to Dinner. The hands will not be required to fall in after
dinner until piped.

1. SECURITY-CORRESPONDENCE.
A full description of the general appearance of the weapon burst may be
given in private correspondence but NO mention may be made of any
technical facts & figures e.g. times, heights, distances, duration of the
cloud & fireball, and numbers of ships and aircraft taking part.
2 PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHY NO private
photography is allowed of todays burst. Official photographs will be
