(b) Radio Aids to
Navigation All route navigational aids were employed without difficulty and
aircraft equipments remained serviceable throughout the return phase.
5. Aircraft Electrical Services
One generator (XD 818) and one type 350 inverter (XD 822) required to be changed during the
transit/detachment period. Other unserviceabilities were of a minor nature and concerned
small components in electrical services control circuits. In only one instance was a sortie cancelled, this was
due to a Q3 interlock relay insulated mounting cracking and permitting the
relay to remain in a de-energised state. With the exception of the incidents referred to above electrical services were, in
general, very satisfactory.
