| I was on the island from June 1958 till June 1959 We travelled there on a R.A.F Dakota with stop's in Iceland - Goose Bay Labrador Canada - Travis air base California - Honolulu. Though I am a Scot I don't remember ever having a nickname (such as jock-jimmy) I must say I had a good time while I was there. Due to the great bunch of lads. And I am in Australia due to the Pacific? When I got home and found no white sand or Palm trees on the river Clyde. I got as near as possible to it for ten quid. |
