This is the picture of the card that I sent from Shannon Airport, 4.10 am, 28.10.59

These are the word I wrote and gives some idea of the speed of the aircraft of the 50's.

We left Blackbushe Airport just after 1.30 am and arrived here at 3.45 am.  Had a comfortable trip over.  The aircraft is a DC6c.  Has a very nice inside.  All the seats face the back.  I am sitting on the portside in front of the wing but along side the port engines.

I am now sitting ins the lounge her as we are stopping for about 1 hour.

From your loving Son and Brother Ch

Piture of aircraft is Boeing 377 Stratocruiser.  Operated and in the livery of Pan American Airways (PAA).
