27 Dec: Thurs. (10.30 pm)

    Started work again today. Brian and I have been put on a ‘’booster watch’ which changes our hours round completely.     

    Some stupid bod went and set the plantation on fire with smoking and it very nearly caught the W/T station. We all went running out with various types of extinguishers, but they weren’t needed as the fire engine arrived in time. 

    Had a bad stomach attack about two hours ago which came on very suddenly and went away just as quick. Bought swimming outfit which works OK. Spent about four hours in the water altogether.
