23 Dec: Sun. (8.10 pm)

    Slept in until about 10 o’clock this morning after coming off watch at midnight. Posted mine and Johnnies coconuts, which take about five weeks to arrive. 

    Received list today of what we can expect on Xmas day in the way of eats. Seems quite a good spread + free beer and cigs. All plates have been handed in to the cookhouse, who are now sporting two pot-washing machines. 

    We’re getting quite modern on our desert island. Everybody (nearly) is getting happy tonight up at the Naafi, but I will to watch it as I’m on duty at midnight until 7.00 am Mon.
