11 Dec: Tuesday (10.00 pm)

    Had first day at work, and what a chaotic time it was. I was working Honolulu, or trying my best. The guy at the other end was sending about 22’s and it sounded like Marconi Morse. 

    Found that Nick had same trouble on next watch and went as far as having an argument with him. Vic, Don and Keith also had a very rough time as they were slapped straight into a circuit without any help. 

    Bottle was washed up again today in a creek and was returned by a bloke who I got talking to. Ended up being invited to join yachting club round at the port.
