3 Dec: Monday (11.20 pm)

    Got in at 3.30 am this morning and was in bed by 4.00 am. Had a pay parade this afternoon and were paid in English and American money. Just arrived in from the booze-up to end all booze-ups. Managed to get Don in the gates in spite of a couple of SP’s on the prowl at the gates. We held a great Jive session after getting in. 

    Were drinking spirits all night and entertained a few of the girls of Gloucester at the ‘Old Market Inn’. Great Life.
